If a child does not have a uniform they are not allowed to attend school and receive an education. We were all surprised to hear this especially considering the socioeconomic condition of the surrounding village. Mr. Elsen, on the behalf of the YMCA, made a donation to begin a scholarship to provide uniforms for those children whose families could not otherwise afford them, providing them with the opportunity to come to school, to get an education, and receive a much deserved chance to better themselves and their futures.
